Cady comes from old money democrats who love collecting beautiful things, and pride themselves in their wealth, looks, and prestige. Cady is a member of "The Liars" - 4 cousins who've been spending their summers on the family's private island since they were eight. A tragic accident leaves Cadence suffering fro amnesia, debilitating migraines, and a growing painkiller addiction. The only thing worse than not being able to remember, is everyone around you knows what happened and won't tell you why. I really wanted to like this one. It started off so strong. But it just sort of rambled on for chapters for me. I don't know if this is a case where the audiobook fell flat and it's better off reading the print version...I don't know. The writing is very strong, poetic, and beautiful. This is a book I'll probably come back to and read in a different format.
Recommendation: Read it - it appears that everyone on it internet loved it but me!
Audience: Young Adults (Grade 9 & up)
