Hype Lit is a wonderfully delicious place where books, film, and tv shows are reviewed. We welcome book shout outs as well, so if you know of a soon to be published book, particularly one focused on African American young adult and children's literature, drop me a message. I also heartily read and review African American fiction, literature both fiction and nonfiction for adults. Christina Vortia here, and I'm a Fabulous + Librarian = Fabularian. I'm a literature obsessed phoodie of the older millenial auntie variety. When my nose isn't in a book I write about books for Kirkus. On any given day I look like a box of crayons and that's okay because I'm fabulous.

1. I am currently open to review requests. My review policy is simple, if I like the book, I'll post the review. If I don't like your book, I'll give you the dignity of silence. This policy applies to all books written after January 2025.
